2010 BWA Finalists

CONGRATULATIONS!

It is with great humility and excitement that we introduce to you the 4TH ANNUAL BLACK WEB AWARDS FINALISTS for 2010.  The Black Web Awards is a global celebration of African, African American and Caribbean themed excellence online.  Among this group of 300 plus websites, you will find some fantastic stories, interesting new concepts, and unfortunately some sites that have closed up shop.  When we first announced this year's Black Web Awards Nomination period, we noted the impact the global economic slowdown has had on small businesses, multinational corporations and Brothers and Sisters throughout the world.  We have seen it here - and we will discuss it more in the upcoming weeks.

The most rewarding journeys travel through challenging terrain, but as people of African heritage, we know all about what to do when we come upon difficult times!  We innovate, we create, we celebrate, we rhyme, we gear up for the next moment of struggle, knowing that the triumphs are just ahead.

And so to the FINALISTS for 2010.  Your sites have continued to exhibit excellence even when others no longer could do so.  You carry a torch carried by others you will never know.  Perhaps the greatest honor here is the most basic - your nomination came from your site visitors, supporters and friends.  That means your hard work and dedication was noticed, and through this nomination acknowledged as EXCELLENT.

And so to you I, Obi Linton, as founder of the Black Web Awards, offer up a cyber fist bump to you.  You've done well.

Now, the fun REALLY begins!  Click here to get your logos and prepare to tell the world about your nomination.  These will be exciting times - I've got some surprises in store....

Take Care and Stay Aware...

Obi

Welcome to
Black Web Awards.com

Nominations Period Opens February 15th, 2010

Even in the midst of economic challenge and recovery, we still recognize all that we have achieved, and thank those who have helped us get to the place we are meant to be - which is right where we are.

And to that end, your annual reminder to celebrate and embrace Black Excellence Daily returns for the Fourth Annual Black Web Awards. Think of the Black Web Awards like a great big family reunion. We get to reflect on all that we have overcome this past year, remember those online endeavors that have come to an end, and introduce and support new efforts at producing African, African American and Caribbean success stories online.

And get a little good food too (but more on that later ;-)

As always, the Black Web Awards are YOUR awards - designed to obtain your opinion and intended to place the spotlight on your successful endeavors. To that end, the Black Web Awards are, from nomination to celebration, 100% FREE.

So look forward to an exciting time - it's the Fourth Annual Black Web Awards, and it's time to give much respect to the Black themed sites that you visit, know and love. If you're having trouble figuring out what that means, take a look at the list of prior winners, our rules and event schedule.

And when you're ready, submit your ballot, then tell a friend to do the same.
